Richmond County’s Dwayne Côté has been universally praised as one of Cape Breton’s most impressive fiddlers. His command of the instrument, the versatility of styles he has mastered, and his outstanding compositions are just the beginning. It’s during his performance that one truly appreciates Dwayne’s exceptional skill and technique, and the pure passion he possesses when drivin’ the tunes. Dwayne will team up with Marion Bridge singer-songwriter Jason MacDonald for a melodic set of tunes and songs. Scottish trio Assynt’s music is inspired by the great piping, fiddle, and Gaelic traditions of the Highlands of Scotland. The group has come to be recognized for their tight-knit fiddle and pipe playing blended with intricate guitar lines and grooves. Décota McNamara and Jeremy Finney will have your toes tapping and heart soaring as they deliver an intricate mix of original and reimagined tunes and songs. If it’s the melodies that really get you, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Sydney Mines is where you need to be tonight.
