The Louisbourg Playhouse was built as part of the set for the 1993 Walt Disney film Squanto: A Warrior's Tale, and is one of the Festival’s most unique venues. The theatre was dismantled at the Fortress of Louisbourg site and transported to its current location in the town of Louisbourg. Many improvements have been made to the theatre since that time and it is a truly special and intimate space for a performance with its clear acoustics and the intimacy of the theatre in the round. Tunes from the east coast meet up with tunes from the west coast at Louisbourg Crossroads on this Wednesday night as one of Cape Breton’s most well-known composers and fiddlers shares the stage with British Columbia’s Juno award-winning the Fretless. Brenda Stubbert will be joined by veteran piano player Joël Chiasson and dancer Tracey Bailey while Music Prince Edward Island award winning folksinger Shane Pendergast shares some songs to round out the evening.
Hosted by Louisbourg Playhouse Society
