North River welcomes string virtuosos from the South by sharing a taste of local tunes, dance and Gaelic song. Representing the South is Darol Anger who has spent the last 35 years exploring connections between violin styles of the world. Particularly well-known for the jazz and blues influence on his playing and composing, Darol will be performing with sisters Natalie and Brittany Haas from California. Sounds of the North will come from the fiddle guitar duo of Melody and Derrick Cameron from the Mabou area and Gaelic singer Colin Watson.
