A Cape Breton ceilidh is a visit that includes songs, tunes, dancing and always some Gaelic. Fionia String Band, from Denmark, made their Celtic Colours debut last year. Their repertoire of Scandinavian, Quebecois, and Cape Breton tunes will fit in just right at this ceilidh. Veteran Cape Breton entertainer Donnie Campbell will be on hand to sing some well-loved songs along with Lisa Cameron and Vernon MacDougall of Inverness County. Sisters Cassie and Maggie MacDonald are making their first appearance at Celtic Colours. They sing in Gaelic, play fiddle tunes, and dance with youthful charm and energy. Looks like we’re covering all the bases tonight in Port Morien.
