Born almost 100 years ago at White Point, Victoria County, Winston "Scotty" Fitzgerald remains one of the most influential players of the Cape Breton fiddle style. Winston "Scotty" toured with Hank Snow, made recordings for the Celtic and Mac record labels, and performed regularly on radio and television. The memory of his fiddle style lives on in the players who gather near his birthplace tonight. Each one cherishes his influence and is very familiar with his amazing repertoire. They’ll share their stories and play the tunes just for “Scotty”.
