Kelly’s dream will come true tonight with songs, fiddles and guitars echoing across the water as the best of friends get together for a rare dust up. Expect a good old time of traditional Cape Breton tunes, and some contemporary classics with Howie MacDonald, Brenda Stubbert and Hilda Chiasson on the stage. Stuart Cameron will be on hand to pick some tunes and sing some songs, so we’re hoping for some old favourites from the John Allan songbook, and maybe some of those guitar-picked pipe tunes he was so famous for. And Tony McManus is easily one of the most impressive guitar players to grace our Celtic Colours stages over the past 20 years, and that says a lot. With the talent we’ve got around here, we don’t impress very easily. Imagine what a finale we are in for tonight once these folks get all fired up.
