On Cape Breton Island, we are blessed with a vibrant culture, rich traditions, and an abundance of music. We know that it's important to give thanks, not only to the musicians and composers who keep the music and culture alive, but also to those who support it and give it a platform to flourish. For 50 years, fans of fiddle music and good times have flocked to the Doryman Pub in Cheticamp to hear the finest of our fiddle players. It's where countless musicians have perfected their craft, playing for both dancers and listeners alike, as well as for each other. Tonight in Cheticamp we remember Marc Boudreau, Arthur Muise and Joe Cormier as we honour this venue and the artists who have made it so special.
