It’s a blast from festivals past tonight in Port Morien, where folks sure do know how to enjoy a concert. They always show up to support the music, with a great local emcee, and an energetic response to the entertainment on stage. And the crowd on stage for this year’s Ceilidh is sure to give them plenty to cheer about. Accordion and guitar dynamo Tim Edey and virtuoso harmonica player Brendan Power made their Celtic Colours debut in 2010 and the Cow Bay Ceilidh was one of their highlights. The duo is back to delight us once again, as are Manx band Mec Lir, who made a splash when we introduced them to the festival last year. They fit in very well here, with their enthusiastic approach to playing and love of traditional dance, which they were eager to teach from the stage. And we'll add a local flavour with Cape Bretoners Rosie MacKenzie and Donnie Campbell rounding out the lineup with some tunes and songs. You’ll dance, you’ll sing and never want it to end.
