As we open this milestone celebration of Celtic Colours, our hearts are full remembering so many special artists from our 20-year history. Over the years we have made many musical friends around the world, and lost some wonderful musicians and culture bearers who contributed so much to the Island’s legacy and culture. Tonight, with Scott Macmillan as conductor with the Symphony Nova Scotia and some very familiar faces, we pay tribute to some who are no longer with us; artists so well-loved that they were known by their first names: Buddy, Jerry, John Allan, Raylene and Rita. And we’re thrilled to welcome back our good friend Carlos Núñez, who will help us kick off this 20th year celebrating those who are forever in our hearts.
