The Pan Cape Breton Food Hub will host a community meal in partnership with Breton Brewing and the Mermaid Food Truck. The goal of the event is to provide a traditional Celtic themed sampler plate of delicious foods sourced completely from local producers across Cape Breton Island. Not only will the event be a wonderful culinary experience for attendees’ taste buds but it will also provide a learning opportunity for folks (both local and international) to learn about traditional Celtic cuisine, the variety of local foods on the Island, and the role of the Food Hub and support of the local food economy in creating a vibrant future for the Island’s food producers! At $30 a ticket, attendees will receive a traditional Celtic sample platter (vegetarian and gluten free option available), 20 oz Breton Brewing Beer (cider or wine option available), musical entertainment, and donation to the Pan Cape Breton Food Hub Co-op.
This is a great pairing with Rising to the Rafters, the evening concert taking place in North Sydney, just 15 minutes away.
